Fly Fishing Opportunities
The end of June is probably the best time to fly fish for Atlantic Salmon and Striped Bass in New Brunswick. The New Brunswick fishing rules oblige non-residents to be accompanied by a local guide to fish New Brunswick rivers. You can either reserve rods from an outfitter (all inclusive) or stay in a motel in Miramichi City and hire a freelance guide. We are listing some of the best outfitters in New Brunswick mostly on the Miramichi and the Restigouche Rivers and information on freelance guides. If you want to book a fishing trip before or after ASFI, you need to contact the lodges or guide directly. They were advised of ASFI and they are keeping a few rods open for you. You need to book early since it is prime fishing time. Most of the lodges will pick you up at the Moncton or Fredericton Airport.
